My approach

My philosophy is that all good design starts with a clear goal that becomes the filter for all decisions. I pride myself on designing with purpose and strategy to create solutions that meet an audience’s needs, impact a brand’s success, and influence action.

1. Listen and learn

Every project starts with learning as much as possible about my client, their business, and their challenges. I ask questions about their industry, competition, and, most importantly, the project requirements and goals.

2. Research and inspiration

Before diving into solutions, I research and gather inspiration to build on what I’ve learned.

3. Explore and refine

Once inspired, I explore solutions and potential directions with rough ideas, sketches, mood boards, or wireframes. Then gather feedback on these initial ideas and refine it to avoid potential rework in the future.

4. Design

Once I have the green light on a direction, I begin bringing it to life and develop polished designs or display concepts in context through mockups and examples. Then, of course, gather more feedback and fine-tune from there!

5. Execute

When the design is approved, I prepare the files for production, send them to print, the developer, or hand them off to the client, depending on the nature of the project.
